One of the largest restaurant chains in China, known for its hot platform, is reported, offers customer recovery after a video has become a viral online for dinner, urinating in its hot spots.
Heidilao-which also has places for restaurants in the US-it said that “two men urine in a hot platform” after having dinner in a private room at one of their restaurants in Shanghai in the Early Hours on February 24, a statement received from Agance France-Presse (AFP).
“Since the manual has never been a rule, emergency action plans or has not trained to deal with this type of incident, employees in our branch are not able to detect any abnormalities at the scene or maintain the safety of the nutrition environment,” the company added.
Hotpot, which is served at the restaurant, is often served in a large container full of broth that customers can fill with meat, vegetables and other foods. While the hotspot broth is often excluded for each customer, it is unclear whether the staff at the Haidila restaurant properly remedies the pot before being used by other customers, BBC News reported.

Then Heidilao noted that he would provide the recovery of customers who had dinner at the center of Shanghai between February 24 and March 8, according to Outlet and Reuters. The restaurant chain offered to compensate for over 4,000 nights that visited the branch.

“We fully understand that the suffering caused by our clients in this incident cannot be completely offset in any way,” said a statement received from BBC News and Reuters. “We are ready to do our best to take responsibility.”

Super Hi International, which operates Heidilao, did not immediately answer people’s request for comment.
The restaurant said the incident was reported to police in Jiana, Sichuan, where the company headquarters, as well as other places, according to Reuters.
Shanghai police said two 17-year-old men-identified by their surnames Tang and Wu -a placed in Administrative Retention in connection with the incident, Per AFP and BBC News.

According to retail outlets, Heidilao filed a civil case against the two men on Monday, March 10th.
Initially, Heidilao opened in Sichuan in 1994 before expanding to become a “leading brand of Chinese cuisine restaurant”, according to the Super Hi International website. The company is known for its “exceptional customer service and a unique dining experience”.
Super Hi International is self -operating restaurants located in 13 countries on four continents as of September 30, 2024, the company said. Haidilao operates more than 1000 restaurants worldwide, according to the BBC.
