Troy, Michigan (Fox 2) – The Troy police compliment the work of the responded employees and the neighboring quick work agencies that scored a suspected shooter in custody.

During an update on Thursday afternoon, the head of police in Troy Josh Jones said the victim and the suspect had entered the parking garage around 7am in the morning

The firing happened just when the Troy police wore a shift during the day, and all the employees immediately reacted to search the garage and the area of the parking lot. Police at Sterling Heights, Bloomfield Township, Oklland County Sheriff and the FBI also reacted.
Shortly after his arrival at the hospital, police said he identified suspects and had surrounded a home in the city of Macomb. Around 9:30 am, the suspect was taken in custody without incidents.
“The suspect has voluntarily went home after contacting a mobile phone,” Jones said.
The boss said he was not surprised by the quick work of the officers.
“This is about police work, is to find where this person can be, where he can go and connect them with, you know, houses, cars and all those different things,” he said.
The suspect has not been identified and will not be until he is appointed. Jones said he didn’t expect this to happen on Thursday.

Hankok gave a very short update that confirmed that the police knew the shooter’s identity and that the victim was in stable condition. But other details are what led to the shooting are scarce.
According to Hankok, police were summoned at 7:08 on Thursday by Corewell Troy’s guards for firing. Police have determined that a gun was used and that five shots were fired at the victim. Hankok said there was no threat to the public.
“The victim was hit twice in the hand and his vehicle was also hit,” he said. “This seems to be a purposeful incident between two hospital staff.”
Hankok described the victim as a 25-year-old man, but did not post any other details. He said the victim was in a stable condition.
The hospital was blocked and agencies from all over the county were called to help search for suspects. The suspect was escaping before the police arrived, but he was arrested about 15 minutes later.
“Many agencies are looking for and clearing the hospital and surrounding areas, although it is not believed that the suspect is still in the hospital,” he said.
Dogs, helicopters and federal agencies were all in the place to look for the Sagittarius suspect.
“This is obviously something that takes all these agencies to react. And we are very grateful that all these agencies have missed everything that happens and responded immediately to help us in the search for the hospital. We have many coordinated search teams, calling and clearing a floor on the floor, every room at a time.” “We have agencies from all over the surrounding area to include some federal agencies that have also answered.”
