Henderson man abducts the business owner in Las Vegas after his wife steals $ 20 million: Police

Las Vegas (Klas) – a man from Henderson has been accused of abducting the owner of a construction company after an investigation into IRS revealed that his wife has supposedly assigned $ 20 million, according to an arrest report.

The 42 -year -old William Costa of Henderson is against allegations of abduction, coercion with the use of force, blackmail, a major theft of a motor vehicle, and the discouragement of someone to report a crime, records show.

In the last months of 2024, IRS opened a case with Larry Gilmore, Gilmore Construction LLC, and has determined that its accountant Cynthia Marabella has stolen $ 20 million from the business for seven years, according to documents.

On February 20, around 8:30 am, Gilmore drove to his office when he saw a purple Lamborghini at the intersection of Dean Martin Drive and Avenue Star. Earlier, IRS told him that Marabel had purchased a purple Lamborghini with stolen funds from his company, police said.

The men then took Gilmore about 10 minutes to an unknown place and placed it in a large raised black truck before taking it to another unknown place in the desert. There, the men put Gilmore on their knees with a gun in the back of the head. When they took off the hood, he saw Costa, the husband of Marabel, whom he had known for about 12 years, and two other unknown men, police said.

Costa told Gilmore to stand up and walk with him. The men entered the desert and continued to have a one -hour conversation, during which Costa gave Gilmore two options. Then the two men went back to the truck, where Gilmore was told not to look at anyone and was not concerned again. Gilmore recognized the area as south of Las Vegas near Sloan, the report said.

The men drove Gilmore to the resort and the casino where his car was abandoned. They gave him his phone and look back and he got in his car and left.
